Soft Tissue Recurrence of Giant Cell Tumor(a case-report)

Abstract
|

|
Contamination of the surgical wound by tumor cell, resulting in soft-tissue recurrence is not unexpected following treatment of malignant lesion. But it has been reported rarely to our knowledge following surgical treatment of giant-cell tumor of bone.
A case reported here indicates that cells of giant-cell tumor can be implanted in a surgical wound and result in soft-tissue recurrence of tumor. Simple surgical excision of the tumors was successful with prospect of no further recurrence.
